Sacred Love Is Good Good Lovin’

Love is the transformational force of the Universe.

I am constantly reminded of this Truth.

I recently read a passage from A Course In Miracles (ACIM) that described the all-encompassing Love of God that stopped me dead in my tracks. I pondered what would happen if we each allowed ourselves to see Divine Love in all things.

Here's the passage:

Lesson 264

I am surrounded by the Love of God.

1. Father, You stand before me and behind, beside me, in the place I see myself, and everywhere I go. ²You are in all the things I look upon, the sounds I hear, and every hand that reaches for my own. ³In You time disappears, and place becomes a meaningless belief. ⁴For what surrounds Your Son and keeps him safe is Love itself. ⁵There is no source but this, and nothing is that does not share its holiness; that stands beyond Your one creation, or without the Love which holds all things within itself. ⁶Father, Your Son is like Yourself. ⁷We come to You in Your Own Name today, to be at peace within Your everlasting Love.

(ACIM, W-264.1:1-7)

So beautiful! Right?

Can you imagine what it would feel like to be at peace within everlasting Sacred Love?

To let go of your worries and fears?

To see Sacred Love in all things?

Here are a few things I've come to know about Sacred Love aka "Good Good Lovin'"

1. It is strengthened by the Divine, a love greater than you.

Maya Angeou talked about the Divine in an interview with Oprah. As she spoke, she was moved to tears. She said, "God loves me. It still humbles me that this force that makes leaves and fleas and stars and rivers and you, loves me. I can do anything and do it well. Any good thing, I can do it. That's why I am who I am, yes, because God loves me and I'm amazed at it and grateful for it."

Her wise revelation moves and inspires me every time I watch this interview. This revelation changed her life and gave her the courage to take risks and truly live.

2. It comes from within.

Society tricks us into believing that Love is external. It makes us think we should look a certain way, have a particular body type, live in the right neighborhood, make enough money, know the "right" people, and say the right things. If we live as society says we should, we would be likable, maybe even lovable.

Wrong!

Love comes from within. When we know our value and live our lives in a way that matters, we demonstrate Love. When we follow our heart and make way for our passions, we open ourselves to experience and be an expression of Love.

3. It will transform your life.

Tapping into the powerful Love of the Divine within you will change your life. When you know that you are loved by the Source of Love, you will feel supported, seen, and empowered. You will not be reliant solely upon the behaviors or actions of others to know Love or feel loved. Like Maya Angelou, you will feel empowered to do any good thing and do it well because Love ordains it to be so. And so it will be!

Now That's the Power of Sacred Love or "Good Good Lovin!'"
